Powering your TL 7+ items
So the power of the planet does not have enough juice to recharge anything that is PL 7 or higher. These items just use too much power and the units can't handle the power.
In the Age of Advancement, they did not need to change anything, charging stations tapping into unlimited subspace would broadcast over an area the power, and anything that needed it would take it and be charged. Now all these towers are all but gone but when you find one, it's a gold mine so keep it under your hat.
Each Station has a rating from 1 to 10. You multiply the number by 100 and that is how much power it sends out per day. Once it is drained got to wait till midnight for the next signal. Those that are closer to the base get charged first. The DC to interact with the tower is Computer Use DC 10+ rank. The range is 1 mile per ranking.
