Brownies
The nymph culture, not the sweet treat. Hailing from various parts of Western Civilis, these shy folk dedicate themselves to being cobblers and other craftsmen like carpenters and smiths. They are generous in their time and talent, looking after struggling humans trying to make a living and having the puzzling getting exactly half a job done at a time, like only making one shoe and letting the human cobbler make the other so they don't feel cheated out of their own job but also have enough material for whatever that job entails. Don't pay them in food, clothes, or money, though! That's considered payment and a permanent sendoff. Brownies gotta live too, you know. Also sometimes known as "elves".

Shared customary codes and values
Pride in one's work - you can insult looks or relationship statuses but come after my life's passion and my handiwork and "them's fighting words."
Modesty - This is why you don't pay in money, food, or clothes. They'll run. It's like they're allergic to wealth. Good labor is payment for the soul, fear not, and there's other ways of getting nourishment.
Your trash = my art project - got some clothes that are out of fashion or unsightly? Thank your local brownie if they magically get spruced up or "replaced" with something creative but nicer.
No stealing! = the Far Darrig and Pooka of the Celtoi isles tend to break this one, though they really shouldn't. They're the practical jokers of the Empyrean world. They're a rather hairy lot with peculiar noses, a rattish tail, and red clothes.

Common Customs, traditions and rituals
Brownies may take on a wide variety of chosen careers, which has led to sub-cultures within themselves. Some are miners and bankers of the nymph world, and these are typically known as "leprechauns." Some are avid entrepreneurs - in fact, this is a more common trait - but they might be clurichauns who run pubs or taverns (often without the know-how of money-managing that their green-clad brethren have a knack for, and without a wit for when to stop drinking), or some members of the Pooka people (millers for those strangers who unknowingly or knowingly did them a good deed) or they might be plain and decent cobblers, carpenters, and blacksmiths who make a good, honest living and they while they will sneak into other people's houses to do their work for them, they will deny payment. The ones that excel at forging delicate jewelry have somewhat found their own niche name: house gnomes.
Funerary and Memorial customs
Deceased brownies might choose to become household spirits to supplement the good fortune of a kind household.
Common Taboos
Don't critique a brownie's work, and every brownie knows not to mess with the work of another brownie.
