Daoine Sidhe

A royal court of fairies that hold themselves to impeccable standards, they dwell in the fairy homeland north of the Celtic isles, where the North Pole should be, in a place called Avalon or the Land of the Blessed by some. Their survival depends on the cooperation of humans, nature, and themselves, but they are not above thinking of themselves as above humans in importance. Their court evolved around 100,000, when faced with the evolution of the new humanoid species known as homo sapien sapiens, or humans. Though they are among the youngest of the fairy cultures, this doesn't deter them from knowing their own importance in the grand scheme of things - or, occasionally, exaggerating their own importance in the grand scheme of things. They claim to come from the Tuath de Danaan, aka literal Gods, so one can see how this might happen.
