Harratan wind nymphs
A subset of the nymph population - which typically likes to keep to areas of large natural landscapes and so typically attach themselves to forests and waterways - this particular group thrives in the sahel region just north of the Mali empire - or, what would one day be the Mali empire, seeing as they only first appeared in the year -172000 of their own calendar, a full 72,000 years prior to any humans ever existing. As nymphs are often playful types, these nymphs enjoy making pottery, Golem dragons, and massive structures out of sand...but they also like tricking humans into thinking that gods left ruins for them to find. When humans started forming empires in this region, they took to forming giant sand and wind storms to try and force them away. This has not made them popular with either fairies (the winged kind) or humans.
