The Josunese-Manchurian struggle

In a bid to take over Huanjin as a whole, Manchu leaders invaded Huanjin but tried to avoid Josunese generals and military forces, who were known for their prowess. The Josunese leader at the time was paranoid about Huanjinese influences in Josun, and so was going so far as to kill off and/or exile most of the people in his family and the royal court who had any sympathies towards foreign influences. He was overthrown, though, and the sons of his son Sohyeon got the throne. The Manchu did not escape the notice of the Josunese forces, though, and instead they were convinced to submit to and collaborate with a new Josunese bid for power in northern Altaia, taking over Manchuria mainly. The Josunese actually liked the Zhu dynasty that was already in charge, but with the combined force of Josun and Manchuria, the Zhu were forced to consolidate their efforts to southern Huanjin, and the Zhu proceeded to get into an increasing number of conflicts with Siam and the Bamar.
