People of Tahnyth

The militaristic people of Tahnyth has always been the bastion between the frontier lands and the kingdoms of Ankara to the east. The ancient kingdom once reigned all of the southern lands, then became fractured and separated into several duchies and the kingdom of Ankara.
Nowadays, Tahnyth under the rule of King Azrakhan of Tahnyth has reunited the duchies through military expansion and diplomacy. The people come from various lands and make up a diverse mix of ethnicities, while the noble bloodlines remain close to their heritage.
At the age of 12 the Tahnithian young men must join the military for no less than 5 years, noble or serf. Serf's term can range from 10 to 20 years of service at which time they are granted title of yeoman and given a parcel of land.
