Flaming Goat
Flaming Goats are a species of volcanic goat. They are typically seen on volcano rims and lava flows when able to be spotted, eating lava rocks.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Flaming Goats are furred, caprine creatures with two large, curved horns and cloven hooves. Their short, coarse fur is typically red in color, and may include white patches. Their horns are sandy or black in color and deeply ridged.
Flaming Goats are almost constantly surrounded by flames of their own making, as their hooves and horns can produce sparks when struck against rock. These goats will set themselves alight if they sense changes in the air pressure; the sight of an on-fire Flaming Goat is a sign that rain is coming.
The eyes of Flaming Goats have horizontal pupils, much like a typical domestic goat's, and their irises are typically orange, yellow, red, or black in color.
Ecology and Habitats
Flaming Goats live only in and on active volcanoes. If their volcano should become dormant, the goats will migrate to the nearest volcano, often causing forest and brush fires on their routes.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Flaming Goats have a diet of literally any solid they can get a hold of, although they have a taste for lava rocks. These goats do not drink water, instead they get their "fluids" from magma, lava, and their primary food source of igneous stones.
The urine and feces of Flaming Goats are acidic, smell of sulfur, and combust spontaneously when in contact with water.
WHAT IN EZLIR'S NAME WAS THAT?!
Goat crap. It's raining, and the flamin' goats are pretty common 'round here. Their sh*t explodes when it rains.
