House Snail

The House Snail is named for the fact their discarded shells are used as homes and beach front villas in their natural breeding region of Avonview Coast. More specifically the city of Duskshore is built entirely with their shells.

Basic Information

Anatomy

The House Snail are known for their size primarily, they grow to about 9 feet tall and 18 feet long, which makes for them to be perfect homes once the House Snail is finished with them. Their shells are made of a partularly hard bone like substance that is resistant to almost everything. Aside from their shells which are their most defining feature they are known for their fin like appendages and their enourmus long heads. They have multiple eyes and several tentical like protrusions from the tops of their heads that are thought to help them move through the water.

Ecology and Habitats

House Snails typically live below the waves but come above ground to discard their shells as well as for laying their eggs.

Dietary Needs and Habits

They are herbivorous creatures feeding off of various marine plants.

Behaviour

They are largely a docile species that live in harmony with those that live in the region. They are known to actually help block off fishing areas to trap fish and help the fisherman catch more. In return they are given a mix of kelp and other marine plants.

Uses, Products & Exploitation

When the House Snail dies or sheds it's shell so a new one can continue growing the shells are then used as homes or used to build homes or businesses in the case of smaller shells.
