Summary
The myth took place in The Long Season of Ice which was a whole decade trapped in a long winter. The cursed season was brought by an failed creation created by the joined forces of elves and dwarves. The best crafters of elves and dwarves originally came to gather to create a tool with the power to harness the ice magic. Not only their attempt failed, they also created a cursed winter. The elves blamed the dwarves, and the dwarves accused the elves. The alliance between the two nations shattered. Many believed that the long winter was not caused by the failed attempt on magic, but the cause of the breaking of the alliance. They believed alliances along with love and hate were a form of magic as well. Due to the shortage of food, those who were stronger than others raided and stole food and resources from those of the weak. All nations struggled to survive and the journey between towns and towns, cities and cities, realms and realms became lethal and almost impossible. Even the messaging ravens could not cross. Close to the finishing of the decade, The Orb of Sight of the Central Realm foretold that since the winter was caused by the breaking of the alliance between the elves and dwarves, they must reunite and reforge the alliance by crafting together a took of fire to cast away the winter. Once the word reached Celeria, the Capital of the Central Realm, the Warden of the Center, Lord Windry, asked to plead with the elves and dwarves to reforge the alliance. However no one volunteered to make the impossible journey, even the knights of the realm had such bravery, save for one. The knight was given a steed, supplies, and a letter of plead for his journey. The ranger left Celeria began his journey. All the odds were against him as he barely survived his journey from Celeria to The Red Woods, where the elves dwelled. Even with his skills and experience of survival in the wild, the journey was difficult. The elves were stunned by the knight's courage and agreed to the plan, and they agreed to make their way to a cove around The North Pass to renew the alliance. The knight continued his journey and reached Icerilion, where the dwarves lived. The dwarves agreed to the alliance and together, the ranger and the dwarves traveled to the North Pass. Finally, the two nations forged a sword of fire that would bring winter to its end. The creation was successful and when the knight held the sword toward the sky, the blade burned with the brightest of flames like a bright star, and the winter vanished. From that day on, the knight was named the Knight of Flames for his bravery and courage, and the place where the Flaming Star was forged was named Snow's End.
