Nekişandî

A Nekişandî (Drak. 'unborn') is a pseudo-Demon, technically "native" to Harmony, formed as a metaphysical cyst within the Song of Creation. Whilst not true Demons — being formed upon Harmony, and never reaching Echoing — and indeed lacking anything resembling a Soul, a Nekişandî is still a trapped piece of Awareness that does not and cannot understand its place within or relevance to the Song of Creation.
Nekişandî are considered a type of unnatural spirit by most scholars, who regard them as minor Wounds in Reality given a semblance of life. They are known to form in places that are magically active, but for some reason internally magically sealed (thus creating a miniature version of what the Echoing itself is). Thus, the 'piece' of Awareness caught within rattles around, rebounding off itself, until it is driven mad.
There are some Kobold fanatics that believe their species shares significant theologically links to the Nekişandî, and it is from these individuals that the concept was first properly named and brought to the attention of the wider world. There are also some detractors of Shadelore that claim the building of Spirit Boxes may encourage the creation of Nekişandî, though the timescale needed for their creation stretches far beyond that practice, making it a purely theoretical objection at present.
