Brokenist

(Religion)   While there are few who doubt the story of the Whole One, passed as it's been generation to generation, there are some sects that disagree in how to react to the story.   Brokenists believe that even if it is inevitable for the Whole One to reform and break itself again, we should do our best to delay that as much as possible. The theory is that breaking is intensely painful for the Whole One, so anything that delays the next breaking is delaying pain to them, and thus good in the long run.   The sticky part arises in that their theory in how to slow down the cycle is partnering with the Shattered Gods to learn more about how they bond and how we can prevent them from reforming. This stance leads to a lot of their members entering the farplane willingly, which creates a lot of hollow shells and a lot of godbound. Because of this, the religion is just short of banned in most temple-controlled cities. They're tolerated in small numbers, but as a whole they survive by not being open about their beliefs.   Brokenist bound are extremely resistant to temple recruitment, and must often be imprisoned and broken before they can be of any use at all. More often, their best use is in creating gemhounds.
