Fenjer (fen-yur)

Ruled by King Harald Halvorsen is the frozen, mountainous region of Fenjer. Protected by a natural barrier, only fenjerites and practiced adventurers are capable of making the cross. Once Nal's lands, current day Fenjer is a hub for smithing and warfare.
In the center of Fenjer lies Vislan, a mining town responsible for the majority of Iron found in Machar. As the economic center of Fenjer, Vislan exports steel to all major cities and is thus protected by a large stone wall built to mimic the one in Coloran.
Fenjerites are a no nonsense kind of people. Instead of adorning themselves in refinery and jewelry, they prefer heavy furs and sturdy armor as it is more useful in the cold climate. In fact they are so obsessed with functionality that they look down on other cultures who dress for luxury.
Armies across Machar hire out legions of Fenjerite soldiers as mercenaries due to their reputation as some of the best in the land.
