Fates Intertwined
An excerpt from Tales of the Inner Council, Episode 6: The Stranger in Stormbreak:
One corner of the stranger's lips curled up just slightly. "Ah, now you begin to understand." The stranger tilted his head back, upending the wolf-label bottle before continuing. "It didn’t work out quite as I had planned. Yes, the Elder agreed, but the other Soverika protested. They demanded I put my own position on the line. And here we are… Now, my fate is tied to yours. If you betray the House, I will pay the price. I brought you here to assess whether I should kill you myself, rather than risk everything I've worked for my entire life."
Tashkerr gulped. "Just tell me what you want me to do."
