Thelsikar

of Lamashtu

Thelsikar is a human male of indeterminate age who's devoted his life to serving the Mother of Monsters, Lamashtu. His mortal countenance is concealed by a chilling, skull-shaped mortuary mask and a long, black hooded robe, further perpetuating an aura of dread that has become his signature. Beneath his dark robe, Thelsikar's body is marred by ritualistic tattoos and scars, each one an homage to Lamashtu. On his right forearm, a three-eyed jackal, the primary symbol of Lamashtu, stands out starkly against his pallid skin. When in the presence of his goddess or her demonic servitors, these tattoos writhe and shift, further emphasizing his divine connection to the Mother of Monsters.   Thelsikar's primary weapon is a bonespur dagger. An unsettling weapon made from humanoid arm bones, it is not only a testament to his willingness to employ such ghastly tools but also a clear declaration of his disregard for human life. The weapon appears to be fragile, but it has been strengthened by dark magic, and its blade is capable of penetrating even the most hardened defenses.   Thelsikar's philosophy is a potent blend of unwavering loyalty to Lamashtu and a deeply held belief in the vision that has been bestowed upon him. He sees himself as an instrument of his goddess's will, and he is utterly committed to the task of bringing about a new age of draconic terror. His association with the dragon Black Fang is, in his eyes, the first step toward the realization of this dark vision. Despite the apparent lunacy of his beliefs, Thelsikar is not a madman. He is a methodical and meticulous planner who leaves little to chance. He chose the abandoned fort of Raven's Watch as the base of his operations due to its strategic location and its reputation for being cursed, which discourages intruders. The fort's dungeon-like lower levels serve as the perfect lair for his draconic ally, Black Fang, and the place where he can conduct his dark rites undisturbed.   Thelsikar has surrounded himself with a band of outlaws and cutthroats who share his devotion to Lamashtu. Under his leadership, they've become a formidable force, committing vile acts in the name of their demonic goddess. They have converted the abandoned sections of Raven's Watch into a den of horrors, filled with monstrous creations borne out of unholy rites and sacrifices. Despite his growing power, Thelsikar understands that his path is fraught with danger. He expects resistance from the town of Sandpoint and its heroes, but he believes that the divine favor of Lamashtu will protect him and guide him to victory. With each passing day, his belief in his divine mandate only grows stronger, fueled by a relentless obsession with his vision of a world dominated by demonic dragons. Thelsikar's journey into madness and monstrosity is far from over; indeed, it may just be beginning.
