Sampson
Sampson is a retired warrior who has settled down in the village of Magepoint with his best friend Edindol.

There is a legend that says Edindol once gave Sampson an item - could be a weapon, could be a piece of jewelry, no one knows for certain. That gift was to be used to kill Edindol should he ever go down the dark path of evil, voluntarily or not. Such is the level of trust between these two men.

Sixteen loyal human guards also reside in the tower where Sampson and Edindol live. Though not part of the militia, they readily come to the aid of any villagers if ordered by either of the tower’s owners. They train with Sampson daily to keep their skills sharp, ready to spring into action on a moment's notice.
