Sarnaris struggles with patience, but he manages to keep himself in check. Most outbursts are done behind closed doors, where he can do so without jeopardizing his image or political position.
While he wishes to court Queen Telandia, he struggles with her more liberal beliefs regarding the interaction between elves and the other races. Sarnaris finds it hard to tolerate humans, given their past struggles with them. The fact that the people who opposed the elves were mostly Azlanti and no longer exist does not sway Sarnaris' opinion very much.

Motivation
Sanaris is ambitious. He believes he can unite everyone - the kingdom of Kyonin, the Winter Council, and the Akashic Brotherhood. But to do that, he needs the political power necessary to move nations. He walks the line between confidence and arrogance, often crossing that line with the "power of the universe" in his hands. Members of the Winter Council see Sanaris as potentially another Lasdolon, which hurts his chances to advance in the Winter Council.
Sanaris is on good terms with Queen Telandia, and it is no secret that he would court her if given the opportunity. The Queen has not entertained these opportunities yet, but Sanaris believes it is only a matter of time.
