The Mighty Maiden
The Mighty Maiden is a large half-timbered building with finely-crafted tables and chairs. Accommodations consist of several large rooms with beds and woollen mattresses. The inn was once a ship but is now both an inn and tavern for travellers along the Lost Coast road.
There is never a shortage of people in The Mighty Maiden, nor a shortage of noise. Rowdy soldiers and sailors frequent the place, seeing it as a good luck charm before a long adventure, often stumbling about the crooked and patchwork floors to the laughter of their peers.
Owner
The innkeeper is Captain Joseph Lorune. Despite no longer having a ship to command, Lorune still addresses himself as Captain, as do his crewmembers. Captain Lorune is always happy to meet adventurers, often asking them if they have heard of his sister Vionne and her exploits. He hopes to become a greater adventurer than her and wants to find out what she's up to so he can surpass her deeds. If visiting adventurers are partaking in something on his To-Do list, Captain Joseph Lorune will ask to join them. He will often "hire" them to complete the deed. First Mate Serena will try to talk him out of spending the Inn's hard-earned gold, but he will always claim "there's more where that came from."The Crew
Much like their one-time captain, whom they still refer to as such, the remaining crew of The Mighty Maiden does not talk about their last voyage, nor the fate of half of their number. All able hands worked tirelessly to help create the amalgamation known as The Mighty Maid-Inn, but since its completion, most of their number have since departed. A few that remained loyal are:- First Mate Serena - When the Mighty Maiden sailed the seas, Serena was the unofficial captain of the ship beside Captain Joseph Lorune. Her role in The Mighty Maid-Inn has not really changed. She is the innkeeper, clever and ruthless when she needs to be. She addresses Lorune as Captain and defers decisions to him. However, when the Captain departs on his adventures, the command chain is not disrupted.
- Second Mate Ungur Anvilhand - an aged but well-dressed master of wearing many different hats: both figuratively and literally. Once the ship's beloved quartermaster, Ungur spends much of their time tending the well-stocked bar.
- Bosun Nirman w construct Piko - Nirman is often busy either repairing Piko or the Inn. Both jobs are very important, as the Inn is usually busy and filled with customers. The large mechanical construct is usually enough to deter any trouble, but if customers step out of line, they often find themselves quickly put in place by the automaton.
