Session 3: Die Dog, Die! Report

Swallowtail Festival

As the PC in the Cathedral Plaza start putting down the fires started by the goblin pyros, they hear a man calling for help. They race towards the calls, and reach Northgate, where they see a noble and his dog.
Just as the PC's reach the gate, the goblins kill the dog, and now face the frightened noble man. The group of goblins includes 4 warriors led by a mounted commando and a warchanter.
After a short and painful skirmish the PC's destroy the goblins and save the noble man's life. He introduces himself as Aldern Foxglove, a Magnimarian who stays at the Rusty Dragon. The nobleman thanks you with all his heart and asks to invite you for a dinner tomorrow evening at the Rusty Dragon Inn.
The PC's return to the Cathedral accompanied by Aldern Foxglove. They meet there with Sheriff Belor Hemlock, Mayor Kendra Deverin. Inn owner Ameiko Kaijitsu and Father Abstalar Zanthus.
Father Zanthus introduces the PC to the others. They discuss some of the events that took place tonight and make plans to investigate tomorrow.

Remi takes goblin ears to Daviren Hosk at the Squashed Goblin Stables, and sells them. He learns that some of the goblins you killed were from the Licktoad tribe that lives in the swamps south of Sandpoint.

Wealday, 24th of Rova, 4707AR,
2ed day of the Rise of the Runelords Campaign

In the morning following the goblin raid on sandpoint, the heroes gather to meet the sheriff, hoping to be of any help in securing the town's safety and in the investigation of the raid.
Questioning two goblin prisoners revealed that the raid included several tribes of goblins, and that it was organized and led by "long-shanks" rather than the goblin Warchiefs. For now the investigation has revealed that at least 4 tribes were in the raid: the Licktoads of Brimstone Swamp, the Seven Toothed tribe of Shankswood, the Thisteltop Goblins of Nettlewood, and the Birdcrunchers of the Devil's Platter. Furthermore, the investigation reveals that the attack was well planed and organized in thought, but was very poorly executed, which resulted in the Goblin's utter defeat.

Rewards Granted

Remi got the role of the seagull in "The Harpy's Curse", a play coming up this fireday at the Sandpoint Theater, with the Magnimarian diva Allishanda as the Harpies Queen.
