Grinn Oppius
Hedonistic, fun-loving young rascal born to an aristocratic family, armed with nothing but a lyre and a dashing smile (and a dagger, rapier, crossbow, sling...ok well almost nothing but a lyre) he's out to make the world see what he can offer! Especially the princess of Taldor, whom he admires almost as much as he adores Cayden Cailean himself.

Personal history
His family status landed him a job at the Taldor court that he didn't really deserve. He did fairly enough as a troubadour there until it was revealed that he had sympathies to the plot that aims to put the grand prince's daughter on the throne. Needless to say, he got sacked, dishonoured and socially ostracized. His family got tarnished by this but they have managed to stay clear enough of his bad rep to be able to still attend normal daily court life. This experience did nothing but strengthen Grinns idealisation though, and he has now made it his life goal to "make it big" back in Taldor, and by doing so possibly helping the princess.
Besides that, he led a quite uneventful life as a well-educated rich boy, doing fairly OK in his studies and being a good little believer in Cayden Cailean

Both parents alive and well, working in the royal court of the Taldian Grand Prince. Tow younger brothers, aiming to become squires. They’re a hard-working family that cares about maintaining their good name and always striving to work themselves higher up the hierarchy. They’re not of noble origins but are well regarded by nobles as trusted long-time servants of the Crown.
Is currently bidding for the patronage of the daughter of the Grand Prince of Taldor, whom he supports to become the heir apparent. Currently on tour to establish a better name for himself and gather the skill, social connections and knowledge to be a useful servant to her cause. Also hopes to gather enough wealth to establish a concert hall, both for the purpose of having an established base of operations and for the opportunity to wine and dine people of influence and social standing.
Family Ties
The Oppius family is low on the ladder of the upper class, having a tradition of the male heirs being clerks in the royal court, and the females being royal servants. Thus not rich nor noble enough to own vast estates, but far from poor. They own a moderately sized villa in one of the more successful parts of Oppara, the capital.

Cailean Caydor is his main deity so is into a hedonistic lifestyle as a religious choice, is also guided by the religious figure of his patron saint in the choices of his life. So, very religious.
