Personal history

Keya doesn't know who her parents are, and it's eating her alive.   Growing up in a municipal orphanage in a human city, Keya keenly felt her differences. Escapism through all its forms - especially music and dance - was a key part of her survival strategy. At 12, the orphanage made arrangements for her apprenticeship to a circus, and she learned various roles as a performer, acrobat and musician. The adoration of the crowd and her new found family of the circus made her feel accepted for the first time - life was good.   One night, though, after taking additional risks to wow the audience, she caused her lover (and tumbling partner) to fall in an accident on the trapeze, she heard the voice of Shelyn telling her to rise up and heal him. Not knowing what she was doing, Keya laid her hands on her dying lover and brought him back from death's door.   For a while Keya refused the call, taking solace in tumbling and performing, and the adoration of the crowd, but that voice she had heard haunted her dreams. She knew she had to learn more about it.   Finally, she left the circus and went to a monestary where she could learn more about Shelyn. She now aims to spread the tenants of creativity and love through the world.   As a private quest, she aims to learn more about her heritage, to finally understand the circumstances of her birth and abandonment. She believes if she can just understand why she was rejected by her parents, she will resolve her nagging feeling that she's not good enough, that she's not worthy of the company she keeps. To further this quest, she has joined (or wants to join) the Pathfinder Society, hoping that if she can just gain access to their secret information network, she will discover the secrets surrounding her birth.
