Early Life
Vigi was born in 4690 in the city of Katapesh, the capital of the region known as Katapesh. She was born of a large litter and was shy as a child. As with all ysoki, Vigi enjoyed keeping the warren clean and tidying up after the day came to an end. Though many of her siblings learned to thrive on the streets of Katapesh, Vigi preferred to muddle about with the variety of cleaning solutions the different adults concocted for cleaning the laundry. Mind you, Vigi never had any true training in the art of clothes cleaning. Instead, she had a passion for cleanliness that she could not let go of. As she got older, the tales her siblings told of thugs roaming the alleys and magic users firing flames from their hands jostled something in her imagination. With all the muck and grunge of the city and the adventures the people of the city found themselves part of, there must be a need for a clothes cleaner to keep everything clean. But Vigi was not content with Katapesh. She would set out on her own, searching for a new place to call home. A place dirtier, grimier, and just plain worse than Katapesh where she could keep busy, perfecting her cleaning solutions and taking care of her customer's clothes!Landing in Alkenstar City
Limping into Alkenstar City, Vigi felt exhausted and defeated. It took Vigi two years to reach Alkenstar City. In her travels she had attempted to start businesses in a multitude of small dome-covered cities of Nex. The problem was that most of these cities were immaculate and the wizards and sorcerers were easily able to clean their own clothing. Finally, she had been told about a city full of smoke and gunk. She had not prepared well for the travel. As she followed a small caravan, it was the sight of the smokestacks that brought a glimmer of hope. The charcoal black smoke filled the air. It took Vigi only a few weeks to secure a location in Smokeside as well as round up the materials she needed to begin her business. But it had only taken days for the customers to notice her jovial attitude, but more importantly, the cleanliness of their shirts and pants when Vigi finished with them.Appearance
