Session 7: What to do Next? Report

General Summary

Our group of valiant investigators were approached by a Constable of the city watch, for assistance in investigating a murder that had occurred in the Alabaster District. A wealthy Psychiatrist, Doctor Wren Elbourne, was found dead in his sitting room, along with his assistant (a Mwangi woman named Samirabo). Constable Gallus, lead investigator on the case had been reluctantly forced to seek outside assistance due to the high profile nature of the victim (Doctor Elbourne) and the utter lack of any leads to pursue.   When the party arrived at Elbourne Manor, they began searching the house for any clues as to the nature of the killer(s) and any possible motivations.   Two very familiar dolls were uncovered in a wooden box inside of a trunk in the master bedroom, and were barely restrained once someone voiced a question about their involvement in the murders.   Upstairs in Doctor Elbourne's locked offices, many occult and ritualistic relics were found, including an idol of Hastur and some yet-to-be-translated documents in Ancient Osiriani. In Samirabo's connected (and, also locked) office, more of the same occult trappings were found, including a ritual dagger with a curious brownish-red stain on the tip of it.   The party regrouped just as the door to Doctor Elbourne's inner sanctum was opened, revealing more bookshelves, reading stands - and two stones, bearing large and animated eyes that were tracking the process of the intruders into their domain.
