Dark Lord Nëj Malrothson

Nëj is a tiefling with a dark past and a strong connection to the arcane. His parents were brutally murdered when he was a boy which led him down a quest to resurrect them. This ultimately led him down a dark path and he eventually made a pact with the ancient demon Malroth, offering his soul in exchange for the demon's guidance and power. Nëj is now a feared and hated figure, known for his cruelty and obsession with the arcane.

Personal history

Nëj is a tiefling who was born into a wealthy and influential family in a large city. From a young age, Nëj was interested in magic and spent much of his time studying it. However, his parents were tragically murdered when Nëj was still young, leaving him devastated and consumed by grief and a desire for revenge. In his desperation, Nëj turned to the arcane arts, hoping to find a way to bring his parents back to life. He became convinced that it was possible to resurrect the dead and devoted himself to finding a way to do so.
As Nëj delved deeper into the arcane, he began to sense a dark and malevolent presence watching him from the shadows. This presence was the ancient demon Malroth, who had been imprisoned in Tartarus but still had the ability to manipulate and corrupt the living. Malroth saw an opportunity in Nëj's desire for revenge and offered to guide him in his search for a grimoire that held the secret to resurrection. Nëj, desperate and alone, agreed to the demon's offer and set out on a quest to find the grimoire.
Eventually, Malroth revealed that he had created Nëj by bathing his soul with his own dark essence, making Nëj always consider Malroth as his true parent. Along the way, Nëj found the ring of pure evil, which caught the attention of Malroth's servant Berguul, who had been searching for the ring for himself. Berguul tried everything in his power to destroy Nëj, but Nëj eventually learned that the grimoire he desired was in Berguul's dark lair after killing the dragon Cryovaine. After a long and difficult battle, Nëj was able to defeat Berguul and retrieve the grimoire.
However, when Nëj finally located the grimoire, he discovered that the pages he needed were missing. Enraged and despairing, Nëj snapped and killed his fellow adventurers in a fit of madness. In that moment, he swore a pact to Malroth, offering his soul in exchange for the demon's guidance and power. From that day on, Nëj became a dark disciple of Malroth, carrying out the demon's will and seeking to resurrect his dead parents by any means necessary. He became a feared and hated figure, known for his cruelty and obsession with the arcane. However, deep down, Nëj remains haunted by the memory of his parents and driven by a desperate desire to bring them back to life.
