Tian style
When the Tian junk the Resplendent Phoenix arrived in Absalom, the citizens ravenously replicated the architecture found in the ships’ many woodcut illustrations. Swooping, multi-tiered roofs began shading the streets as neighbors competed to boast the broadest eaves; derelict buildings were cleared away to make room for elaborate gardens; and interior designers adopted the Tian emphasis on creating private spaces.
