Ptah

Ptah is a member of the pantheon often worshiped in Ancient Osirion. Ptah is a creator deity so powerful that he is the only god to create himself, though he and Ra are both venerated as creator gods. It is said that earthquakes are signs of his displeasure.

Cults

Ptah is the patron god of alchemists, architects, artisans, artists, bards, builders, carpenters, masons, metalworkers, shipbuilders, and anyone else doing a creative task.[1]

It is said that Ptah hears all of his worshipers' prayers, and will intercede to other gods on their behalf.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Ptah is typically depicted as a man wearing mummy wrappings and a skullcap. He holds a staff that combines the three main symbols of his power: an ankh, the djed pillar, and a was sceptre. These represent life, stability, and power, respectively.

Osirion dwarves that worship Ptah instead depict him as a naked, deformed dwarf.

Contacts & Relations

Ptah is the husband of Sekhmet, and he sees Ra and Maat as allies.

While he mostly keeps to himself among the Osirion gods, he will conflict with other gods (such as Set) who try to destroy what he creates.
