Session 5 - Into the Wilds - Thorn River Bandit camp

Prior to leaving Oleg's 1) Oleg tells party of Svetlana's ring, which was taken by the bandits. If returned, will give the party 50 gp in store credit 2) Svetlana want's some moon radishes for a special soup she makes   Party decided to find the Bandit camp that based the bandits that attacked Oleg's. They left shortly after ambushing the bandits.   The first day, 1st of Sarenith, was clear and they traversed 9B moving south. They made camp just inside the forest fringe. Just before making camp, they were attacked by a pack of three Thylacines.   Sarenith 2nd, weather clear Moved into the forest of the Greenbelt (9C), still travelling south/southwest. Travelled 8 miles.   Sarenith 3rd, weather clear Continued moving south. after travelling about 4 miles, started reconnoiter of 9D.   Sarenith 4th, weather clear (9D) Continued reconnoiter, discovered path with horse and wagon marks. Followed path along Thorn River to the Bandit camp. Party was attacked by the bandits. After a battle, the bandit leader Kressle was killed. Captured three bandits; Bob, Larry, and Kevin. Kevin was very forthcoming with information. Party was told that Svetlana's ring was stolen from the bandits by local gremlins that live in a giant sycamore tree. Party also heard about the Stag Lord. He is a powerful man, with great aim with a bow. However he is a drunk. At the camp a stash of liqour was found that the Stag Lord is fond of. The rest of the day was spent securing the camp and the items that had been stolen from Oleg's and trappers.   Sarenith 5th, weather clear (9D-8D-7E) Party decides to find the gremin tree. After taking possession of a wagon found at the camp, they loaded it up with the furs, pelts and other material from the camp, tied up the three prisoners and used their horses to pull and wagon. Started moving SE and travel for 16 miles through 8D into 7E. They stop for the night seeing the great sycamore tree about 2 miles in the distance across the plain.   Sarenith 6th, weather colder than normal (7E) The party tied each prisoner to a wheel of the wagon, and set their dog to watch them and the horses. The party travelled on foot to the base where they discovered a hidden entrance under the tree. While hiking to the tree, bodies of kobolds and gremlins were found laying out in the open, which whad attracted carrion birds.   Entering the Gremlin warrens, the party attracts the attention of the adult centipedes living in the centipede hatchery and engage in combat. The noise from this brings the 2 gremlins from the workshop area who attack the party from behind. After dealing with these threats, the party begins to take a short rest, when another group of 6 gremlins enters from the far side of the hatchery (from the common room) and attacks the party, defending their home.   Seesion ended.
