Deepcold

The Deepcold is a primordial entity created before the dawn of time, a manifestation of the dark oceans and the spectral worlds hidden beneath. The Deepcold has many names by those who worship and fear it: the Cold Heart, Tidal Serpent, Father Ocean. The Deepcold fought against the other primordials during the first war, destroying the world-that-was and seeking to cover everything in its blue depths. It was deceived by its great frost giant champion Thrym towards the end of the war, who split it in two. The Deepcold's two parts, its mind and its heart, were hidden away beneath the north and the south pole, where it slumbers and dreams of the deep, reaching out into the hearts of its servants and preparing for the Last War.

Divine Domains

The Deepcold is not a god in the conventional sense, it is the idea of the ocean and its mystery given a metaphysical and phyiscal form. To some extent, all the oceans of the world are extensions of its titanic body. Few cultures today worship the Deepcold directly, and most of these are aquatic civilizations. To these cultures, the Deepcold is god of everything, god of the fish, god of war, god of the currents and trade, god of magical mystery and might, god of fury and monsters.
The aquatic triton, undersea empire-builders, claim that they were the favored race of the Deepcold's servants, and use this to justify their subjugation of other aquatic races.
The dreaded Sahuagin also worship the Deepcold by giving worship to the warlike shark-god Sekolah, one of the Deepcold's greatest warriors.
