It’s mysterious and full of wonder, and from time to time ships venture to it, hoping to discover things no one else has seen before. The horizon calls to them, and they are willing to risk any danger for the call of adventure.
But not many who have done so have returned — there have been no real discoveries in the Far Deep precisely for that reason, because those who have returned often have survived by the skin of their teath when facing some horrible danger or storm.
