Golden Sun Universe

Far in the future, humanity had carved out a empire for themselves and their allies, until suddenly the Blackout happened. Higher technology suddenly failed, and no communication or sensor equipment could receive or transmit anything beyond planetary orbit. Anything sent beyond orbit was never heard from again.   A thousand years later, humanity, its allies, and its enemies are back in space once more, fighting for power, resources, and prestige. The three major powers are the Crown, the Council, and the Golden Sun. The two former ones are UN-like conglomerates of star-nations. The Golden sun is a singular culture and nation that is more powerful then either the Crown or Council.   But there's something lurking beyond Space and time itself. And they are waiting for a perfect time to strike.
