The Curiosity
"Leaders of Sage..."
The Curiosity is the ruling council of Sage. It claims within its ranks at least one member of The Boorka. It is typically comprised of nine members, one for each of the eight major schools of magic, and one "mystery" member. This has led them to be sometimes referred to as "The Council of the Nine." However, the number fluctuates, and has been both higher and lower due to circumstances known only to them. The Curiosity never meets in the same place twice in a row, even within their own city. Whether this is due to paranoia or something else is unknown.
Of the few Boorka on the ruling council, the most well known is Lyssandra Panalux, an unnaturally young woman who is known to dabble in the necromantic arts. She's possibly the most open of the council, which isn't saying much, as the group is notoriously tight-lipped.
The Curiosity rarely deals diplomatically with outside nations, and Sage is relatively self-sufficient. On the rare occasions that necessitate contact with the outside world, the ruling council seems to randomly choose its representative, and it's unusual for a nation to deal with the same person twice.
