Time Travel

According to legend, traveling backwards in time is possible through utilization of the caustic and chaotic waters of the Churn. The Churn flows in reverse polarity to that of all other bodies of water in the northern hemisphere, and it is said that if one can fight the intense (and constant) current enough to actually advance against it, that person will travel backwards in time. This has never been proven and is likely only a legend spawned by the fact that the Churn is a magically cursed phenomenon, ostensibly born from the leakage of Mount Celene herself.
In order for one to even attempt to go against the current of the swirling vortex, one would first have to simply survive the deadly waters, filled with magical pollutants. It's the Churn that mutated all the animals of the Dullwood, and those animals merely drank from it. There is life within the very waters however, and this life is beyond corruption, mutated to the point of complete un-recognition. Only the hardiest aquatic beasts could even survive long enough to become mutants. Most humanoids do not have what it takes to make it that far.
It's unknown exactly how fast the Churn's corruption spreads, and few are willing to test it out. The only people known to enter the Churn are those being executed by the unusually harsh northerners, as this form of prisoner disposal is considered to be the best revenge against a particularly nasty enemy.
Oddly, legends of traveling with the flow of the Churn possibly pushing someone further forward in time are not particularly commonplace. However a few have expounded upon the possibility of such a "logical" thought progression.

Utility

No actual time travelers are known to exist, possibly because they never returned to tell the tale.

Only accessible through complete submersion within the Churn.

Complexity

Though there may be godlike devices enabling time travel within Mount Celene, no known items have been expelled from the holy mountain to date. Therefore, the practical use of time travel is restricted to devices enabling one to withstand the force and push against the current of the Churn.

Discovery

To date, this is only legend and conjecture.
