Natural Antidote

You shall use these ingredients:

• A Scrats liver

• Two bundles of dried sortnin

• A pinch of salt

• A sprig of thyme or a handful of fresh pine needles

• A litre of destilled water

Put half a litre of water into a cauldron and bring it to a boil, take it off the fire, add the sortnin and let it sit for 4-6 minutes. Take the bundles out of the water and remove all residue of the sortnin. Now add the salt and the thyme, while stirring slowly. Boil the mixture down to about half its original size, take out the thyme, cool it, until it is cold to the touch, then add the remaining water and boil down again, until you have only half a litre remaining, cool it, until it is still warm to the touch, but not burning, now add the liver, chopped into fine pieces. The liver should now readily resolve and sink to the bottom of the cauldron, so you have your brew on top and the liver-slack on the bottom. Now gently pour out the brew on top and use the slack as an antidote.
It will help against most natural poisons and venoms, especially those with herbal origin and thus will also dampen the effects of some other medicines. The potion provides no protection from most alchemic poisons.

A scrat looks like a rat with scales and longer fangs. They are about 40 cm long without their tail.

They eat generally everything, but prefer fresh meat. Hunting is a matter of numbers, so if they want to maybe hunt a stay dog they would organisein groups of 4 - 12, depending on how great the threat level is.

They tend to be less active in colder climates.

Domestizierung

There have been attempts at domestication and some were succesfull, but it is not very common to see a domesticated Scrat.

Being an omnivore and also more or less impervious to changes in its diet it lives almost everywhere.
