Durchführung

After two people have fallen in love with each other they ask the parents of their respective significant other, if they would be deemed worthy as a partner for their descendant. If the parents do not accept they send the proposer back home. Then, if they cross paths on their way home, they know they are both rejected and shall not meet again, if only one is rejected, they are allowed to sleep together for one night in the bed of the one who was rejected. If they are both accepted they stay at the house and in the bed of their partner until the next day, on which the parents will meet to discuss the wedding ceremony. At the day of the ceremony the couple will go for a walk, alone in a preferrably deserted place, like a park or in the catacombs. This is the last chance for either party to cancel the marriage. After that they meet in a location specified beforehand, where the feast will take place. The feast goes on from midday to midnight. At midnight the guests will leave and the lovers will meet together in a room or a chamber that has a bed in it to confirm the marriage.

Einhaltung

Either you get invited as a guest to the ceremony or as a participant. As it usually takes place in a closed room, you won't be able to enjoy this party, if noone invited you.
