Blue coat and shawl, in addition to a wide brimmed hat. He carries a rapier on his hip, onto which he has engraved glyphs to activate his booming,shadow and flame enchantments. He uses a rosewood wand in his offhand as his spell focus.

Personal history

In the world where Balthazar came from you needed at least a little bit of magic in your lineage in order to study magic, making human mages something of a rarity. Thankfully Balthazar is the seventh son of a seventh son, making him an exception to the norm.

Education

Having been a swordmage's apprentice in his past life Balthazar learned to incorporate swordmanship in his magical fighting style. This level of education implies he was either of noble birth, or sponsored by a wealthy family.

Morality & Philosophy

Balthazar has a deep passion for the study of magic, and believes that most if not all of lifes problems can be solved if you just know the right spell. He believes that magic should be used for the good of others over selfish needs. He does not care if some schools of magic are considered taboo, as long as the intentions are good he has no qualms regarding black magic.
