Uru

Uru is the strongest magical conduit in Gran Kora. It is immensely hard to mold or forge. Only the most powerful forge in Gran Kora, Lakeforge, with the power of a dying star is supposedly the way this material must be crafted.

It shines like a gold metal but it has a strong rainbow shine when light hits it.

Physical & Chemical Properties

Whilst the material scratches, the scratches can just be wiped off. It is conductive of both electrical, mechanical and magical energy. When certain types of runes are imbued it allows the user to connect to higher powers once they've learned to use the energy channelled through it.

History & Usage

History

A lot of the Aesir and Vanir's weapons and tools seem to be at least partly made of this material.

Discovery

A legendary dwarven smith is rumered to be contacted by a higher power. Having found this knowledge from a place other than this world.
