Elemental Archon

The Elemental Archons are perhaps the most powerful species across all of Grand Qourrend. Boasting an impressive lifespan, the Elemental Archons of Grand Qourrend have established themselves as the de-facto rulers of most of the continent. This, combined with an almost unrivaled natural mastery of several lores of magic, has enabled the Elemental Archons to dominate their competition for most of history.

Beings of pure nature, the Elemental Archons are born out of a single specific element. Archons of Grass, Wood, Stone, and Air exist; just as Archons of Fire, Gold, Steel, and Electricity exist. Despite the large variety across the types of Archon, all Archons consider one another to be "kin" in comparison to the otherwise polar opposite nature of the organic life over which the Archons rule.

The Elemental Archons split themselves into a variety of "Houses" which rule over specific areas of Grand Qourrend and delegate leadership positions to local rulers. These Houses have produced many a great leader, with some reaching levels of untold power that have elevated them to the level of the gods.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Elemental Archons are formed from a single element of nature and fully embody that element throughout their entire lifecycle. Organic Elemental Archons will eventually wither until death, but those of non-organic origin are functionally immortal.

Genetics and Reproduction

Each Elemental Archon may at any point generate another member of their elemental type by sculpting the new form from any source of relevant material; however, in practice the Archons rarely do this out of concern for the never-aging populace.

Ecology and Habitats

An Archon can comfortably live in most environments hospitable to organic life; however, they often prefer to remain in environments dominated by their specific element. As a result, many Archons will fashion their courts after their source elemental, with the capital of Mitre being known to hold residences of every known element.
