The Black Market Report
General Summary
Players met Aurora Blackmark, an awkward and somewhat annoying but very competent Monk and Yeoman. They received the mission to locate the “Auroid Objects”. They first talked to the jaded and psychologically damaged Wils Walder and securing a Sphere he had been reluctant to return. The group split up and talked to Qa’Léb Jabari and Lumin Al’Qadr for more info.
The mage Qa’Léb was studying the Spheres and had few answers but said that the spheres were communicating through the Aether (beyond the physical world) and were made of an otherworldly material and had no signs of workmanship.
The fence Lumin was seemingly forthright in informing the team about an upcoming meeting involving the sale of a sphere, but still
did not seem entirely trustworthy.
On the way back after the meting, Alzu encountered a sick man he had seen previously, bearing the marks of the Spheres’ ill effects. They traced him to the block of 15-20 Blackfeather Alley.
The party was ambushed on the way to observe the meeting at The Quiet Fountain, an inn in a shady part of town where a Sphere would be sold. With the help of a sympathetic crowd, and Aurora Blackmark, the PCs killed all but one of the eleven assailants.
Rewards Granted
The assassins had a total of 300 silver pieces between them. They left behind an assortment of daggers, clubs, and short bows. Most of their armor was too destroyed to use however two suits of padded leather armor were left in working condition.
