Geography

• The Northern Basin: Formed by the North Hornridge mountains in the east, the Central Hornridge mountains in the south, and the Central Mountains in the west. In the North and West lies the Snake Wetlands, a dense swamp with fertile deltas that could one day become the continent's breadbasket. South of that lies the Northern Rainforest. This dense jungle is a moist, hot hell of disease, poisonous plants, and predators. It suits the Wood Elves just fine, and by some estimates as many as sixty thousand of them call it home. On the Northern coast, the recently occupied city of Xethess lies at the Western edge of the relatively temperate Shield Plateau, at the foot of Mt. Unity.
• The Hornridge Mountains: Crossing the middle up to the point of the horn then veering back west along the coast, these mountains are rich in Mithril and could supply the Empire with enough of the ultra strong, super lightweight metal to conquer the world, but no nation in history has been able to hold onto them.
• The Southern Basin: Slightly less hellish and hot, the Southern Rainforest has been trading hands between Wood Elf Tribes, Dark Elf Clans, and the High Elf nation of Fennein since time immemorial. Recently, though, Fennein seems to have withdrawn southwest into the Borderfen, another thick swamp but one that is heavily fortified by these High Elves.

Natural Resources

The rainforest can be logged for wood, but the real wealth is the Mithril deposits in the Hornridge Mountains. Xethess used water power for its infrastructure and there is plenty of that here as well.
