The Sands of Time
Among the most obscure planes of existence(If you can call it that). The Veil of Time, otherwise known, as the Sands of Time, is virtually impossible to access by conventional methods of planar travel. Instead, according to what has been and will be achieved within the bounds of the universe, the ability to travel to this plane is only fully realized and perfected, as a sign of the end of it. The Nature of Time is only realized when it fully passes, giving air to the theory that it will never be understood until EVERYTHING comes to pass. However, the few imperfect way’s acheived has only been achieved in the Time of the Gods and have been passed down in confidence through oral tradition, to dwellers who had worshiped him in the age. The fact that it is a forgotten age, leads to the assumption that those records have been lost to time itself. However, this is not the case. Some religions with ancient descendancy, have passed down certain records of those days, copied by scribes over the eons, meticulously, and to the ancient and undiscernable letter. These books are not translatable to regular minds but in achieving temporary synchronization with the planes of existence, of which were originally the forms of the primordial Children of the Watchers and the gods that passed them down, one might be able to translate bits and pieces of the language of the gods. This has been achieved by certain humans before being punished by Celestial guardians of the Veil, sending them to the plane that they synchronized with and turning them into an enigmatic spirit, and sometimes judged by them to become unbound protectors of… Something. Now one knows what happens to those who AREN’T turned into a quasi-deific being but there must be reason, a reason that only the god of time and dreams, Vaal Vatti, knows.
There are many theories as to what happens to an unbound, one of them being that they might by reincarnated in to another time, in the universe, a time where they are the most needed. It is theorized that a demi-god, is in charge of this transition. This theoretical god, is called Ubervatti, or Ubervat. A philosophy of the passage of time is something that worshipers are typically known for, and only a few choirs of worshippers will exist over all of times passage.
Manifestation
The Veil of Time in the world of Grathos manifests as a shimmering, ethereal haze that permeates the very fabric of reality. This metaphysical law governs the flow and perception of time, and its presence can be subtly observed in various phenomena across the realms.
Temporal Glimmer: The air itself seems to carry a faint, silvery sheen, like a barely perceptible glimmer that dances at the edge of one's vision. This glimmer intensifies in places where time flows differently, such as ancient ruins or the sites of powerful magical events, where past and present moments brush against each other. Chrono-Auroras: In the skies of Grathos, especially at dawn or dusk, one might witness Chrono-Auroras—rippling waves of light that shift through hues of silver, deep violet, and gold. These auroras are not tied to magnetism but instead appear where the Veil of Time is thinnest, often signaling a convergence of past, present, and future. The patterns they create are said to be glimpses of potential futures or echoes of lost histories. Temporal Echoes: In places steeped in history, faint Temporal Echoes can be perceived. These echoes manifest as ghostly afterimages or sounds, like the shadowy forms of long-gone figures replaying their actions in loops. These phenomena are not spirits but rather the residual imprints of the past left on the Veil of Time, visible to those sensitive to its flow. Timeworn Objects: Items and structures affected by the Veil of Time show signs of both extreme age and pristine condition simultaneously. A sword might have a blade that is rusted and ancient on one side, while the other gleams as if freshly forged. These objects are in a state of temporal flux, caught between different moments of their existence. Chronomantic Veins: Deep within the earth of Grathos, veins of crystal known as Chronomantic Veins pulse with a soft, rhythmic light. These crystals are imbued with the energy of the Veil of Time and are often sought after by chronomancers and seers. When cut or struck, they emit a resonant chime that seems to echo both forward and backward in time, creating a disorienting effect on those nearby. The Sands of Time: Deserts and beaches in Grathos where the Veil of Time is strong have sands that, when stirred, shimmer with an iridescent glow. These Sands of Time seem to flow slower than normal sand, and when held, they subtly shift between grains that feel warm, cool, old, or new, all at once. The sands are often used in hourglasses by those who wish to attune to the passage of time or even influence it in small ways.
The Veil of Time is a constant, unseen force, influencing the very way the inhabitants of Grathos perceive and interact with the flow of moments, making time itself a living, breathing aspect of the world.

Localization
In the world of Grathos, the Veil of Time manifests its influence in various localized phenomena, particularly in areas where the flow of time is naturally distorted or where powerful events have left a lasting mark on reality. Below are examples of such locations and the corresponding phenomena:
1. The Temporal Rift of Umbrathos Phenomenon: The Temporal Rift is a tear in the fabric of time located within the shadowy plane of Umbrathos. Here, the flow of time is erratic, with hours sometimes passing in mere moments or stretching into days. The Rift emits a faint, pulsating glow, and anyone who steps too close may find themselves aged significantly or, conversely, de-aged as their lifespan is siphoned or expanded unpredictably. Reason: The Temporal Rift formed during the War of the Planes, where the clash of divine energies tore at the Veil of Time itself. This wound in time remains unstable, continuously warping the temporal flow in the area. 2. The Echoing Ruins of Grathos Phenomenon: In these ancient ruins, remnants of a long-lost civilization, Temporal Echoes are particularly strong. These echoes manifest as translucent figures, replaying significant events from the past. Visitors may witness ghostly battles, long-forgotten rituals, or even hear whispers of long-dead languages. The phenomena can be both awe-inspiring and unnerving, as the past seems to unfold alongside the present. Reason: The Echoing Ruins are steeped in history, with layers of significant events and powerful emotions that have left an indelible imprint on the Veil of Time. The location serves as a focal point where the past continually tries to resurface, overlaying itself onto the present. 3. The Crystal Caverns of Feithos Phenomenon: Deep within the crystalline caves of Feithos, Chronomantic Veins pulse with a soft, rhythmic light. These veins are rich with temporal energy, and the crystals themselves seem to hum with the passage of time. Those who meditate near these crystals often experience visions of the future or gain insights into their past lives. However, staying too long in the caverns can lead to disorientation, as one's perception of time becomes increasingly fluid. Reason: The Crystal Caverns are a natural convergence point of temporal energy, where the Veil of Time is unusually strong. The crystals here have absorbed this energy over millennia, making the location a nexus for time-related phenomena. 4. The Sands of Time Phenomenon: The Sands of Time along certain shores of Grathos and certain dunes of deserts exhibit a unique property where the sand grains glow faintly and shift between different states of existence. Walking on these shores feels like stepping through different eras; one might see remnants of ancient civilizations buried in the sand, only to have them vanish moments later. Objects buried in these sands for long periods may emerge either aged beyond recognition or preserved in a pristine state, untouched by time. Reason: The Sands of Time are infused with temporal energy due to their proximity to ancient, forgotten ley lines of time magic. These ley lines were once used by the ancient civilizations of Grathos to manipulate time, and their lingering energy has imbued the sands with these unique properties. 5. The Eternal Forest of Grathos Phenomenon: In the Eternal Forest, time moves at a different pace. The trees here are ancient, their growth rings spanning centuries, yet the forest itself remains in a perpetual state of twilight. Seasons change in the blink of an eye, or not at all, depending on where one stands. Some parts of the forest seem to trap time entirely, with flora and fauna frozen in a moment, while in other areas, time accelerates rapidly, causing rapid aging or decay. Reason: The Eternal Forest is under the influence of a natural time distortion caused by the Veil of Time. The forest is situated over a confluence of temporal currents, making it a place where time ebbs and flows unpredictably, and where the normal rules of time do not apply. 6. The Time-Scarred Battlefield of Grathos Phenomenon: The Time-Scarred Battlefield is a location where a great conflict between deities and mortals once took place. The area is littered with relics and weapons, frozen in time as they were at the moment of the battle. The battlefield is covered in patches of distorted time where, for example, a sword might remain forever falling, or a warrior's last scream echoes endlessly. The ground here is cracked and splintered, with time-worn crevices that seem to lead into different eras. Reason: The intense temporal energy released during the battle scarred the Veil of Time, leaving the area permanently altered. The battlefield serves as a haunting reminder of the conflict, with time itself bearing the wounds of the past. These locations within Grathos demonstrate how the Veil of Time influences the world, creating areas where time behaves unpredictably or remains trapped in a loop, forever echoing the events of the past or distorting the flow of the present.
