The Shale Throne

The Shale throne is affiliated with forces which tend towards disordering the potential state, called Toma Lar in Chora. While this notion is meaningless outside of the study of metaphysics, Jade is most commonly associated with the concept of 'Entropy'.   Shale forces tend to be unrelenting, clever, and difficult to confront directly. At its worst, Shale Numena is death itself, reducing matter, energy, and even feeling to nothingness. Nothing is safe, and areas with high concentrations of Shale energy tend to decay into mute, tranquil stillness where light and life alike ultimately expire.   Shale fiends have little to prove, and strike with subtlety where Mortalkind is at its weakest, preying upon despair with insidious mercy. Shale Fiends operate under the umbrellas of both tranquility and despair in order to perpetuate and accelerate the cause of entropy.   Shale Numena's dangers are self-explanatory; they are death itself. However, Shale Numena's weakness is its relative lack of direction. Entropy cannot truly be stopped, but it is patient and otherwise directionless unless provoked. Without obvious quarry, Shale fiends are fragile, and will often disperse completely on their own when exposed to fortitude and conviction. However, the Shale throne cannot be stopped, only stalled.   The other thrones are Brass (Creation), Coral (Impulse), Gold (War), Glass (Intellect), Shale (Entropy) and Lead (Absence and balance of all other forces.)

Everything dies.
