Personal history
The story behind this yuan-ti pureblood starts right before I am born as a regular human in a small village hidden between the border of 2 counties within the kingdom of valeria. However, around this time a local conflict between two nations has threatened the secrecy of the village. Which, forced the villagers including my mother and father to travel through thick jungle. Unfortunately, during this transition, the sound of hissing grows continually. Getting louder and louder eventually it is revealed that the villagers had wandered into a yuan-ti camp. Resulting in the death of all villagers. Luckily however my mother entered into contractions minutes before death. Essentially I am born just minutes before the yuan-ti launched their attack. Upon seeing me the yuan-ti decided to use me as a tribute to their snake God known has the Slytherin one. Eventually, as I am presented and undergo the transformation ritual. I become a yuan-ti pureblood. Unfortunately, the physical changes are minor resulting in me being considered an outcast, a false yuan-ti. After this point time flows rather quickly as I begin to learn yuan-ti ritual practices and various other sadistic and overall horrible traditions. Somewhere between the ages of 6-7 is when I kill my first human. This was a big shift, however, in my character's view of the yuan-ti as before this point she had only ever seen someone die.
Slowly but surely my character begins to see how the yuan-ti are fucking evil. At 14 she finds a book detailing the path of a warlock and the various patrons from the dead body of an adventure which she studies close. Hearing tales of power magic and something known as a "genie". Using her newly found abilities at the age of 18 she escapes from the yuan-ti in the middle of the night. Where she for the first time in her life meetup with other humans and does not have to pretend to hate them. An elderly couple sees the distressed girl running out of the jungle and gives her a place to live for a year. Where she learns about both human and elven culture and how to blend into society. Eventually leaving them with a heavy heart to see the wider world and join an adventuring party where she meets ------.
