Session 38: Ghost Fightin' Treasure Hunters Report

Our heroes start the episode on a lower deck of The Haunted Lady. After defeating the beholder zombies they search the crates and find a mechanical parrot in a
They jump down in a gap to the lower deck. Bad idea. Most of them are ok and save themselves from the rotten wood, but Jovial falls right through into a massive pile of bones. On the bottom deck of the ship a large skull animates and the Death Tyrant starts firing its beams. The fight goes on for a while and most of the party at some point are unconscious/stunned/sleeping. After a difficult test, they survive and defeat the skull. However, in the process of this, Kevan is turned to stone!
To safe their new companion, Joe and Isabella head off back to Norcastle to fetch a healer. The cost to perform the spell is 300gp (usually 450gp). Lanstone agrees to pay it for them after asking, but requires them to do a quest for him. He has a friend called Lasarie in Cliffbeach that needs their help - she works at the docks on the bigger ships.
With the firbolg healer accompanying them, they head back to the ship. She senses more undead aboard the vessel, but promptly restores Kevan and leaves. In the bone pile they find a thick glass case with a card in it: the six of stars. They also discover 5 gold crowns and 80gp in coins scattered around.
Searching a few smaller rooms they also find a handful of coins here and there and a large tapestry with some people praying to something. Joe opens the final door and a swarm of ghosts and a ghost shark emerge from the walls!
We leave it there mid-afternoon on the 9th of Noctuna.
