Colossal Octopus

This relative of the Giant Octopus is rarely sighted in the Sea of Swords. They are believed to prefer the warmer waters further south and west.
They can grow to truly massive sizes, with the body reaching 30 feet in length, and the tenticles can reach 60 feet. Their thick leathery hide can change colour and shade almost instantaneously, covering light shades and dark and hues including black, brown and the full spectrum.
They are solitary creatures and ferocious predators, but generally remain distant from civilised transport. However, if provoked they are extremely lethal.
