Atlatl

The atlatl is a curved piece of wood with a hand grip that is used to propel javelins greater distances. A javelin is placed along a ridge in the atlatl, and then the wielder throws the javelin while holding on to the atlatl. The atlatl itself is not a weapon and causes no damage.

Some barbarian cultures use darts instead of javelins when using the atlatl.
