Rabbit Stick

A favorite weapon of horse riders, the rabbit stick can be used to dispatch small game and injure unmounted enemies. To make a rabbit stick, two flat strips of wood about three feet long and three inches wide are tied together at one end. Long notches are cut into the untied ends, then sharpened to fine points. Several holes are pierced in the center of the strips to reduce wind resistance. The user holds the rabbit stick by the tied ends, then smacks or slashes the notched ends at the target.
