Frilled Deathspitter - Dilophosaurus
"A shot of Deathspitter saliva will prove your manliness." - Sailors from the Hold of Sea Princes
Basic Information
Anatomy
These creatures are small, bipedal dinosaurs that have large headdresses of feathers. Their bodies themselves are feathery with sharp claws on the hands and feet.
Ecology and Habitats
These creatures are often found in the humid jungle of islands throughout the Azure Sea. They fit along the ecological food chain in a similar place to jaguars (however, they hunt in packs so not exactly the same).
Dietary Needs and Habits
Frilled Deathspitters are carnivores that hunt in groups around island nations. They often try to find lone creatures and ambush them in groups of 5-6. The creatures spit into the face of their prey to blind it and make it easier to devour. Children are told not to venture too deep into the jungle on their own, less they want to be blinded and eaten alive.
