Anatomy

These cubes are made up of a gelatinous acidic substance that stays coagulated enough to create an entity. The cubes are similar to jellyfish in that they do not have a central nervous system nor do they have any sort of intelligence. However, their body is highly acidic, quickly dissolving anything that comes into contact with them.

Ecology and Habitats

Gelatinous cubes are known to reside in dark and dank dungeons and deep underground. This has led researchers to believe that they form as some sort of amalgamation of mold and magical power of wherever they live.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Despite being extremely effective against flesh and cellulose, the digestive fluid of gelatinous cubes had no effect on inorganic matter or bones. Any inorganic matter would remain within their bodies for weeks or even months until eventually being cast out.

Biological Cycle

These creatures have never been seen to reproduce and thus it is unknown how they propagate through generations.
