Armies of the Ataphad Islands

The Ataphads are not organized under the rule of any individual, but rather are dominated by a number of independent city-states. While their fleets are a formidable presence, their land-based armies are sparse, and are little more than garrisons to prevent unexpected feints to seize or damage harbor facilities.

As of CY 578, the major city-states of the Ataphads can field the following forces:

Dhara

• 400 medium infantry with spears, chainmail, and shield

Khavak

• 200 light infantry with longbows and padded armor

• 400 medium infantry with spears, chainmail, and shield

Khargeg

• 250 light infantry with slings

• 300 medium infantry with spears, chainmail, and shield

• 200 light cavalry with lance and shield

Like the other islanders, Berber or Arab miniature figures from the appropriate period can be used for the men of the Ataphad islands.
