Armies of the Horned Society

Given that the lands of the Horned Society were formerly part of the realm of Iuz, as well as their proximity to the Bandit Kingdoms, it should come as no surprise that the Host of the Heirarchs consists of a mix of humanoid and human bandit/raider troops.

Beginning in CY 578, the Horned Society’s armies enjoyed the support of many troops from the Bandit Kingdoms, The events that transpired late in the cooperation, year ended that ending with the occupation of a portion of the Bandit Kingdoms by the Host of the Heirarchs and permanent hostility between the Bandits and Heirarchs.

As of the end of CY 578, the Host of the Heirarchs was split into two main forces. The eastern force is engaged in the occupation of Warfields and Wormhall, and consists of the following, under the command of Heirarch Blontug (half orc C/F/A 3/9/9), with Plar Rostal (F11) as second in command accompanied by with his lover Seenia (wood elf F/MU/T 6/6/6):

• 4,400 humans

• 500 light infantry with javelins and shields (skirmishers)

• 500 light infantry with longbows

• 900 medium infantry with hand weapons, wearing chainmail and shield

• 500 heavy infantry with pole arms, wearing plate

• 800 light cavalry with spears and shields

• 1,200 medium cavalry with hand weapons, wearing chainmail and shields

• 750 goblins

• 150 medium infantry with short bows

• 300 medium infantry with various weapons

• 100 light cavalry with short bows, riding wolves

• 200 light cavalry, riding wolves

• 1,800 orcs

• 600 light infantry with various weapons

• 200 medium infantry with crossbows

• 900 medium infantry with hand weapons or pole arms

• 150 heavy infantry with hand weapons

• 150 heavy infantry with pole arms

• 3,200 hobgoblins

• 500 light infantry with longbows

• 1,500 medium infantry with hand weapons, wearing scale

• 1,200 heavy infantry with pole arms, wearing plate

The remainder of the Host is headquartered in Molag, with detachments stationed in Delaquinn, Ringstone Castle, and Deepshuttle Delve .

They are commanded by one (or more) of the other Heirarchs, and consist of the following:

• 350 medium infantry with various weapons

• 100 light cavalry with short bows, riding wolves

• 200 light cavalry, riding wolves

• 2,000 orcs

• 500 light infantry with various weapons

• 300 medium infantry with crossbows

• 900 medium infantry with hand weapons or pole arms

• 150 heavy infantry with hand weapons

• 150 heavy infantry with pole arms

As their forces are largely of the same make-up, the same notes regarding the selection of miniatures that applied to Iuz also applies to the Horned Society.
