Fax, once a seaport on the scale of Safeton and Hardby, was abandoned in the face of Turrosh Mak’s humanoid armies in 584 Cy, the Faxians fleeing north to other cities. The town has since suffered greatly under its new masters, many buildings having been burned and every valuable item looted. Humanoid camps dot the terrain outside the city’s walls. The docks were ruined by attacks from Hardby Marines and mercenaries to prevent the orcs and anyone else from using those facilities for piracy. Fax is deep in Orcish Empire territory, but rumors of treasures and magic left behind when the town was abandoned lure foolhardy adventurers to its hazards.
